Mid Century Modern (MCM) is one of my favourite design styles. I love it for its simplicity, clean lines and dark timber.
My latest painting, a small interior, provides a glimpse into a MCM living room. The immediate focus is on the table, with a lamp and pinstripe vase, however as the viewer begins to take in the whole painting, other elements appear. The green velvet armchair, bookshelf with red vintage glass vase and MCM sculpture. Then the gold framed mirror which reflects the curtain and pendant light from across the other side of the room.
This is a petite painting and would look great featured on a bookshelf, sideboard or display cabinet.
