The Balance In Between series

At the start of 2026 I badly sprained a finger whilst on holiday with my family.  Due to the injury, I wasn't able to paint in the way that I usually do (fine, detailed realism).  So I took the opportunity to explore some different ways of painting while my finger healed.  As a result, I decided to create a small body of four abstract works and really enjoyed the process!  I am naturally drawn to both organic and geometric shapes which is where the inspiration for these paintings came from. 

 

These works have been designed to sit harmoniously within both contemporary and mid-century modern interiors and are all framed in custom made Blackwood floating frames.​​​​
